Hi all and thank you for looking at our website.
We are a grassroots group of volunteers. Most of the volunteers have full time jobs with various back grounds. We are always in need of volunteers, so please contact us if you are interested in volunteering.
We go out every Sunday to serve food at 8pm at the Haymarket in Norwich. Volunteers cook hot food and serve it at the Haymarket. We also have street walkers that go to those that do not come to us at the Haymarket.
We are split into 4 groups and each group goes out every 4 weeks.
We do get donated food from some supermarkets, meat and other ingredients from other sources.
The aims and objectives of the club are:
To provide hot food, other essential items to the homeless and vulnerable people of Norwich (Clients), while there is a need and will continue to do this until there is no-one needing help.
To meet The International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the right to adequate food.
To collect and use waste food when available.
To be non-judgemental towards all clients, supporting equality.
We support young people who want to volunteer with us for their The Duke of Edinburgh Award, it is great that young people choose to help the homeless.
The Levellers have invited us to their gig to collection donations, please see the event created on facebook, thanks.
